Vulcan Gold problem

I have some Vulcan Gold 3cm, and (http://maplered.com) it has really soft black veiny areas in the Stone (http://g603.net) . These black areas scratch easily with a razor blade, dull with steel wool, and (http://maplered.com) dulls with the alpha black buff. Two problems: 1:I have to top polish a seam with one of these soft black areas running right through the seam. 2:One of the pieces has a fissure running all the way through a black area and (http://maplered.com) it is so bad that it actually has slight lippage. I rodded the back. I filled the top with thin CA, and (http://maplered.com) scraped it down with a razor blade. The razor blade scuffed and (http://maplered.com) dulled the area, and (http://maplered.com) now I need to get the shine back. This stuff is so soft that in some areas on a cut edge you can pick it out with your fingernail. How do I get it to shine?
